After two espressos I’m buzzing: the perfect excuse to indulge in a spot of unrestrained New York self-referentialism. I’ve just updated the blog of the UK Writers Guild with a few comments. And I’ve joined New York Women in Film & Television. And I’m getting ready for the Queen’s Birthday.

My friend and former North London-ite Edel Brosnan is heading to her native Ireland to teach a screenwriting workshop at the Listowel Writers’ Week, where she will show off her hard-earned writing skills and brand new offspring Ruby Mae (love that name).

The state of Condy’s Russian: amazing how that woman paraded her so-called knowledge and she makes mistakes likes saying ‘yes’ instead of ‘no’ (when asked whether she’s going to run for president) and calling Bush her ‘husband’.
